Lord's Supper

"Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things,
and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them unto you."
(I Cor. 11:2)

We believe the second ordinance of the Lord’s church is the Lord’s Supper, that it has two elements, bread and fruit of the vine, that it is observed by the local visible church, only at a time set aside by the church. In order to partake of His supper you must have been born again and be a member of the church in which it is being observed.

I Corinthians 11:26, Matthew 26:26

The Bread: we believe the bread shows symbolically the broken and crucified body of our Lord in His death on Calvary.

I Corinthians 11:23-24, Luke 22:19, Mark 14:22

The Fruit of the Vine: we believe the fruit of the vine represents symbolically the blood of Jesus Christ that He gave freely for our sins on Calvary.

I Corinthians 11:25, Luke 22:19, Mark 14:24-26, Mathew 26:27-30
