My Salvation Experience I was a teenager only 13 or 14—it was during the 30's. I had to walk about 3 miles to school and to church. When school was going on, Church would be at night and in the summer time it was during the day. A revival was going on and I was setting in the back and the preacher asked the congregation to stand and I headed for the alter. Something came into my heart and I felt so bad and lost. I didn't know what to do at the moment but I knew I wanted to be saved. My mom wasn't there at the time and I wanted to ask her a lot of questions about getting saved so I didn't get saved that day. (It was about three months later.) I went home and asked my Mom how do you get saved and my mom said you must repent you will know. I didn't say much about it but I never felt any better for a while. Every time I went to church I'd go to the alter and go home feeling bad and the longer it went the worst I got. One night I had a dream that Jesus had come back and the world was on fire and I woke up and raised up in bed and looked at the window to see if it was true and I was really scared. I went to church that Sunday. I was determined to pray like never before and I did. I went home feeling good. I just praise him for the day he took me in and forgave my sins and set me free. This is my experience of salvation. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
