Experience of salvation

What a mighty God we serve. The most precious gift I ever received was the day the Lord saved my soul. It was through this mighty God that I was able to receive this gift; because he gave his beloved Son's life that I could obtain this gift of eternal life.

When I was a very young girl, I realized the need of this Savior, but I really didn't know how to do anything about it. But as time went on, I continued to go to church and hear more and more about this God. And finally the Lord convicted my heart and I really felt the need of this God that I was hearing so much about. Before long I found out how precious this God was— when He saved my soul. I really don't remember exactly how old I was or the date, but I do remember the day and to me that's all that matters. The only things that matter to me is to know that God loved me so much that he would make possible for me to obtain this precious gift.

As time goes by, I realize how wonderful it is to have him to lean on and most of all to pray to and know he is always there. I often hear the song "The mountains to High and the Valley's too wide but down on my knees I learned to stand for I can't even walk without him holding my hand." How true that is to me. Praise be to the wonderful God we serve.
