OUR PASTOR - Jeff Moran

 

Brother Jeff is a native Hoosier and a PK (preacher’s kid).  He was saved by the grace of God in 1973, during a revival at a rural church in central Kentucky where his father was the evangelist.  Weeks later, he was baptized into the fellowship of Bethel MBC, continuing a family association that has included both his grandfather who served the church as a deacon, and his father who was a two-term pastor.

During his college years, Brother Jeff was a member of The Parables, a Southern Gospel quartet that traveled regionally and recorded two albums.  During this time, Brother Jeff was blessed to begin a song-writing career that has lasted over 40 years and produced songs that have been published/ recorded by numerous nationally-known groups.

After getting his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from IUPUI, Brother Jeff married the love of his life, Sister Lisa, in 1983.  Enhancing this union of over 35 years was the addition of two children, Andrew and Morgan.  Brother Jeff served Bethel MBC as a deacon for 23 years before submitting to the call of the ministry in 2008 and being ordained by the church in 2012.  Prior to being called to Bethel in 2016, he pastored Amana MBC in Kokomo, IN, for four years.

In addition to his involvement in church work, Brother Jeff has worked in health insurance management from 1987 until his retirement in 2020.  He and Sister Lisa reside near the town of Cumberland on the southeast side of Indianapolis.
